published:2011-12-05

On 19 November, 2011, volunteer workers in BMNH visited the National Museum and exchanged ideas with the volunteer workers in theNationalMuseum. In spite of the precipitate cold weather and wind, more than 30 persons participated in the activity.

Guided by volunteer docents in theNationalMuseum, BMNH volunteers were able to understand better the cultural exhibits in the Buddha Statues Exhibition and the Ancient Bronze Ware Exhibition.

After the visit to the galleries, the volunteers shared their experience with those in theNationalMuseum. Though the exhibits in the two museums are quite different, the volunteers carry out their work in quite similar style and have a lot in common. Volunteers from both museums agreed to keep in touch and strengthen their exchange in the future.

BMNH volunteers are a vigorous team of enthusiasts who are committed to the popularization of science. With their front-line work in the museum, they are increasingly contributing to the overall image of the museum.
